TL-R605 Adopt Errors
I am getting repeated failures when attempting to adopt a TL-R605 into an existing network with several switches and APs controlled by an OC-200 V1.0 Controller. I have migrated all devices on this existing 192.168.1.0/24 network, including a large number of existing clients, with DHCP served by an existing, legacy router.
My intention is to keep the network as above if possible, as there would be a number of existing devices communicating with each other via dotted-ip that would need to be reprogrammed if the address range changes.
Any idea:
* if the adopt is failing because I'm expecting it at 192.168.1.1 rather than 192.168.0.1, or if the reason might have something to do with firmware, etc.
* If I can set the internal range on the router to 192.168.0.0/16 (or perhaps 192.168.0.0/23), allowing me to keep the router at its preferred address while keeping my devices at their current addresses
* Since the adopt failed, do I need to forget the router, factory reset, and start again?
I had disconnected the existing router, replacing it in-place with the TL-R605 (modem on the WAN port, network on the LAN port), but needed to revert as I could not get the system running without disrupting my internet access.
Thanks....
