Strangest thing ever, can't make any sense of it, so any feedback much appreciated.

 

Original setup, 3 x eap225 stand alone with firmware from 2021, all working fine, no drop outs and around 50mb/s consistent on 2.4 all around the house, pretty much rock solid.

 

Added a 200 hardware controller latest firmware and upgraded the eap225's to latest 2024 firmware. Result constant drop outs, speeds on 2.4 around 1mb/s if working at all and dropping out on all devices, linux, windows and android.

 

Tried resetting the eap's and adding again,still the same, in desperation removed the controller, reset the eap's again and went standalone, not only back to normal speeds but quite a bit faster and all stable again no drop outs, makes no sense to me at all. Will investigate a bit more when I have time but for now happy the netwrok stable again.

In general, management with the controller does not affect the Internet of the device.

To avoid any incorrect configuration, please factory reset the OC200 and manage the EAP units again to see if the issue persists.

 

Note: 

1. Please backup the config file of the OC200 before reset;

2. Apart from creating an SSID, please don't do any other configuration.
