I've recently tired to add a ES205GP in between my two SG3210. This is to make the run between the two switches less than 100m.

This was working fine with a SG1005P but when I added and adopted the ES205GP I was unable to receive any IP adressses for clients downstream of the ES205GP.

When the switch was inline on the network I was able to see all the access points, controller, router and switches.

It looks like there were no IP addresses being issued to clients though.

All the devices are on fixed IP addresses from 192.168.10.2 to 192.168.10.12.

 I managed to get it working by creating the ALL profile and also updated the controller software.

  @Longhill

The ES205GP switches do not show the client IP, I don't know if it's a bug or if it's supposed to be like that,

another thing is that if you have not updated your controller then you will not get profile all on ES205GP, you will only get default lan on the switch ports, you have to create a port profile yourself. but I recommend you upgrade to controller version 5.15.8.2 where this is fixed

I have all of my ports showing "All" but it will not provide an IP downstream to my APs. What am I missing? Do I just need to buy an 8port?

  @Whoopah

have you got the latest firmware for the switch? When I updated mine I was able to use the default "All" profile.

You could also try creating your own profile and adding all the VLANs. I did this prior to the firmware update and named it "ALL".
