I get disconnects several time daily (I see them on the log). The reconnect takes several minutes (DHCP requests, reestablishing connections etc.). How can I determine if it is a provider issue or a modem issue?

The log section looks like:

Check the DSL light staus or the DSL line quality. I found 2 articles:
http://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-735.html
http://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-546.html
If the DSL light is on solid and line qulity is good, it could be the modem. Try to update the modem to latest firmware, or seek further help from TP-LINK technical support.

TP-LINK told me to enable bandwidth control. I tried it and VR2600 seems not disconnect again.

It works for my ISP too (I wish they would have used a gentler rate control :-))
