Hello,

I have a modem/router which only supports 2.4GHz but I'd like to use an extender and extend it using two SSIDs on 2.4Ghz and 5GHz - will "Concurrent-Dual Band Range Extender" let me do this?

I under that "High-Speed Mode" will allow me to extender the 2.4GHz on 5GHz but not on 2.4GHz.

I'm looking at RE305 and RE210.

Thanks.

That's the advantage of dual band entender.
Even your main router/router only supports 2.4G, it will broadcast dual band SSIDs on 2.4G and 5G when you add a extender.
No matter which on you choose, it will help you make it.

@flying snow I just bought Tplink AC1750 Re450, why it still need me to connect 5GHz source?

My router only 2.4Ghz

Or any specific way to activate 5GHz?

@hammer

Hi!

During the setup, when it comes to choose the 5ghz host network, just click‘ skip’.

Then it would be fine.
