I have to say, that this is probably the worst router I have ever used in terms of using advanced settings. And I've set up hundreds.

In trying to make sure it was NOT wide open to the internet (amongst many other problems of setting it up, which I ,may address later if I can actually connect to the thing ever again) I told it to only accept connections from a range of address inside the LAN.

Now it wont accept anything except telnet from the LAN.

Short of wiping out 6 hours of trial and error configuration and resetting it, are there any other options I can exercise via the telnet interface?

can you ping the modem on your computer?
you may try the following method to reset the modem http://www.tp-link.com/en/article/?faqid=109
if it doesn't help, try different computer.

Oh its all working perfectly. FSVO 'perfectly' :-)

I didnt want to rest it it because it took hours to get it to actually more or less work the way I wanted it to, which is some way from 'its defaults'

Christmas. Even THIS site has bad javascript locking up my browser

I realise what the problem is. TP- Link simply cant write code .

Never mind. I'll throw it in the bin and get a different one. Its not worth spending time on.

I have the same issue.

I accidentally configured the access control incorrectly and cant access the router now

how did you solve it without resetting the router?
