Archer C6 v2 Wireless 5GHZ unavailable
Archer C6 v2 Wireless 5GHZ unavailable
I bought a TP-Link Archer C6 V2 router and now i got terrible problems.
The router is working in Access Point mode.
I have 2 problems:
- First: CAN NOT ENABLE 5GHZ WIRELESS INTERNET => The 5ghz network is unavailable due to restrictions in your region / country. What ????
- Second: No gigabit conection on LAN - I plugged a cat 6 gigabit cable (less then 10 meters) and got only 100mbps speed.
I am very sorry for this bought router.
The firmware is up to date. Have tryed QUICK SETUP, BASIC, ADVANCED MODE and Theter App.
Anyone can help me with this issues?

Hello,
For the 5GHz network, please reboot/hard reset the C6 and give it a go. If still the same, please show us a picture of the error message.
For the speed issue, who is your ISP and the bandwidth you paid? With LAN cable connected to the C6, please check the wired link speed which will affect the performance.

Any updates, please let us know.
Nice day.

Hi Cobalco,
Have you ever tried to hard reset it by holding the reset button/hole for 10s with it powered on?
If still the same, please contact the retailer to check the warranty service.
Good day.

Thanks for the info, sometimes net cable might be the issue too.

Tplink should specify that c6 only support band 1 in 5ghz.
It can not be expected from tplink. if i knew that i will never buy c6.
I will never buy tplink router in my life. All the higher-end router like c9 support band 4 in 5ghz wifi in all regions. So region lock is just an excuse from tplink.
Even their c60 lower-end router support band 4 5ghz in all-region.
so pls stop excusing saying about region lock.
Just disappointed from tplink, regret to buy c6.
