Model: TL-PA4010 KIT
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.1.0

Hi, today i upgraded the firmware of my TL-PA4010KIT V2.2 to 1.3.1.0 but i wasn't aware of the fact that i had to flash the firmware for V2, so i flashed the one for V4.

So far i haven't encountered any problems, but i just wanted to know if there are any compability issues between the firmwares for V2 and V4. I have also tried to flash the old firmware for V2, but i always get the error "Failed to upgrade" in the tpPLC utility.

Hello,

for your information, the firmware should match the hardware, otherwise, it may ruin the powerline adapter.

Cause the current units work properly, it is not suggested to flash the firmware back to V2.

You can run the powerline adapters with the current firmware.

Good day.
