tpPLC App on Mac needs updating for Mojave after 10.13
The software that runs on the Mac, tpPLC is being depreciated after this current version of OSX. Is there a new updated version being prepared?

What is the status of this entire situation?
The potential for a problem was first mentioned here on May 13, 2019, well AHEAD of the coming MacOS update at the time. It took TP Link -SIX MONTHS- to create and release a BETA version of a software package that addresses the issue even and then basically radio silence from that point.
We are another six weeks from the BETA release with ZERO updates on a permanent fix for this.
Please advise.

Present date is 30_jan-2020 so quite a few months after this issue has been raised.
So what is new here? Or tpPLC will not anymore be supported for Mac?
So , if it is like this. can you advise people , so they can buy it from someone else?
Are we going to have a solution soon , or we need to buy a Windows PC? Hoping that tpPLC works with it!
Not very nice and even not very professional
This will all be put on the Amazon.com reviews so people will be aware
Regards
Vineldo

The sheer silence by tp-link in this thread over the last six weeks is deafening and demonstrates a complete lack of interest in supporting the community of users that supports them by buying their products. Me thinks it is time to look for another vendor of similar products. One that is much more responsive to customer requests to fix functional issues - maybe even one that is more proactive in following the notices from vendors like MS and Apple to ensure that they are ready when the changes land instaed of leaving the users without a functional tool for months afterward (the test version they previously released has now stopped functioning on either of my Mac computers).

today, 2020, 19th of March, the behavior is still the same. On Mac-OS Catalina, the util is still crashing.
I think, that tp-link is not really interested to solve this problem.
I feel like tp-link will kidding me as customer. Maybe next time I will buy from a different label like devolo.

I think its time for the community to give up on this product and use alternative powerline adaptors. If TP are not willing to support their products and look after their customers then i hope they loose customers.

I wish I had come to this forum a week ago to post on the 1st April. Still nothing about an updated Powerline app for macOS. Website still has softwareware that was last updated 2017. What a joke.

I'm dumping mine and moving to MoCA, and will never buy a TPLink product again.

After having a look around, I see still no update on a production release of the TpPLC utility for recent (and now not-so-recent) MacOS versions.
Meanwhile tp-link continues to sell its products through Amazon and other modalities, in many cases without any means of firmware support.
I see I am far from alone in my disappointment about this situation. Word needs to get out better in order to protect consumers.
