I currently use a PA9020P kit to provide wired network access in an upstairs room.   I was wondering if there was such a thing as a wifi extender which received its signal over the power supply but then broadcast a wifi signal.   The Powerline adapters are providing an excellent signal upstairs, but the wifi is poor - so if an extender relied on receiving this signal it would be very limited in its efficacy.

@MACH1

As you know, the TL-PA9020Pkit does not support wireless feature, we can get internet from it by wired cable only.

To extend the wifi range, you may consider add an powerline extender into the existing network;  Note: The model starts with TL-WPAxxx support wireless feature.

For your information, all the TP-Link powerline adapters are compatible with each other, while considering the current TL-PA9020Pkit, it is suggested to use 7/8/9 series.

You can refer to the case 2.
