Model: Archer C9
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.2.4

Hi there!

I recently got this router and I'm pretty happy with it.

However, I've noticed that if I plug a HDD drive in the usb of the router the drive is constantly spinning and never goes to standby. I would like to know if there's any way this can be changed through the settings so the drive goes to sleep after some minutes.

Thank you!

@Bjups

Can the HDD be detected by the Archer C9 with it plugged into the USB port?

What is the capacity and format of it?

Please show us a screenshot of the spinning HDD page to us.

Thanks in advance, and have a nice day.

@Bjups @Kevin_Z

Seriosuly...this is a MUST have feature.

I keep some important data on my USB HDD.

I like to have it readily accesible.

My ancient Netgear r6300v3 from like 8-9 years ago could do it. I could do it with Fresh tomato.

It would turn it self off when not using, and would spin up the moment I try to access HDD via SMB or DLNA.

PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE.

My router AX6000 V1 Latest firmware.

ALSO... Selective folder for media share.
