TP-Link Archer MR200 v2 with attached Cisco SPA122-WS
HI,
I am a newbie here with plenty of computer experience but limited experience in this department so please be easy on me!
I have an Archer MR200 v2 with a Cisco SPA122-WS with router attached, it has an EE data + calls SIM inside.
I have the MR200 up and running for internet over 4g using the data aspect of the EE Sim but can I with the aid of the Cisco ATA SPA122-WS With Router connect a house DECT phone to the MR200 and use the call credit on the SIM through the Mobile number of the SIM, ie, make & receive calls with the attached DECT phone over the Mobile 4G connection?
Please reply with tech details in words of single sylables :-)

Thanks for your reply.
From your description, it seems that the Cisco telephone adapter router handles the telephone service, the Archer MR200 can be regarded as an internet provider only, the Cisco router is a client, the usage of Archer MR200 is to make the telephone adapter router access internet so that you can use the telephone service.
The reason we mentioned SIP ALG feature of Archer MR200 is that the router can transfer the VOIP data from the behind device (Cisco router) with it enabled.
While for the configuration guide to make telephone work, you need contact the tech support of the Cisco router.
Good day.
Edit: Correct the model number typed.

It seems that the Archer MR200 need work as an internet provider; Once it works, you can connect the cisco router to it and connect the DECT phone to cisco rouer to use the call service.
Besides, the Archer MR200 supports SIP ALG, the VOIP data can be transferred normally.
While I'm not familiar with the Cisco router, you can give them a call to verify how to make the DECT phone work, any settings need to be done or so.
Good day.

Hi Kevin_Z,
Thank you for your quick reply.
I already have the MR200 up and running for internetover 4g using th data apect of the EE SIM (download of about 20Mbp).
The following was taken from an internet forum and is what I wih to replicate if possible,
"We have a standard landline phone plugged into a Huawei B525 router and you can call it using the sim card's mobile number and make calls using the inclusive minutes. If you can deal with changing yor number you could use a SIP TRUNK via your 4g Internet connection. Basically you connect a standard telephone to something called an ATA which connects to the router. Configure the SIP TRUNK on the ATA and it works like a landline."
Is this anything to do with "The ArcherMR200 support SIP ALG" and if so how do I achieve it, is it a matter of just somehow configuring what is already an integral part of the MR200?
The Cisco SPA122-WS ATA is a small 2 port Telephone Adapter Router which connects to the MR200 via a wan/lan port.
The VOIP connection I know with the aid of a paid for provider will connect me via the internetbut what is said to work on the Huawei B525 router above is that it communicates within the routerto the phone side of the SIM and able to make calls using the SIM mobile number thus making use of the call allowance on the contract.
