Modem crashes under torrent load
Modem crashes under torrent load
2012-12-28 20:40:07
Region : Australia

Model : TD-VG3631

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : TD-VG3631v1_0.6.0_1.0_up(121214)

ISP : TPG

I've noticed the modem becomes unresponsive under use with torrents and only thing that works is to turn it off & on from power button then works for a few more minutes then crashes again on the latest firmware.
Please look into it!
:mad::mad:
Thanks

It's limited to 150 max clients at 700 - 800kbps. Line syncs with TPG in between 6 & 9mbps just depends on the time of day.
My previous TP-Link modem (TD-W8961ND & TD-W8960N) was running fine on the same settings.

More problems!
SNR Margin drops below -(minus) till you can't surf the net.
Do any TP-Link Engineers even look at this forums? or do i have to call TP-Link?

SNR margin drop! i think maybe there are some problem on the ISP line, if you replace the TD-VG3631 with TD-W8961ND , whether TD-W8961ND has same problem or not?

I don't think the modem will cut the internet by itself, when you encounter this problem again, you can login on the modem and check the system log, it will show what happend, Don't trust anyone unless he can give out a powerful evidence

I hear that TP-LINK is developing the new firmware for TD-VG3631 and the UPNP issue will be fixed with firmware update.

Since your modem crashes under torrent load, if you replace it with a new TD-VG3631, does it still crash under torrent load?
