Hello all, thank you all for your valued suggestions for "voting" to add the Bandwidth Control feature back on the Archer C6 or other models, we have noted these requests and forwarded to the related developers as a feature request, they will take a look if they can re-design the feature in the foreseeable future.
Sorry for keeping you all waiting for this feature, but we hope you could still understand it may not be that easy to add a new feature on the router.
Thanks you all again~

The Archer C6 does not support bandwidth, while it supports QoS, which is the similar with bandwidth; But it has changed the basic setting and improved the algorithm/logical.
You can refer to chapter 8 of the user manual to get the configuration guidance. Now it has a priority toggle available for each device and time duartion is selectable which is more flexible and more efficient.
You can give it a go to test the performance.
Best regards.

I bought this router and now I am disappointed to know the lack of bandwidth control. Wonder why you'd remove such a useful feature which is available even in the oldest of routers and the cheapest of routers. If you would check online in forums and reviews, there are lot of people unhappy about this. Even my older TP-Link device had this and I upgraded to this one hoping I can get better control but this is actually worse. I have explored QoS and it doesnt even come close.
I request you on behalf of many disappointed TP-Link loyalists to restore this function back with a firmware update.

I have been trying to figure out things but it's not available.
I had it on my D-Link Router, Belkin Router and not have in this is kinda big thing for me.
I have given access to some phones only for a limited speed, some devices I have given minimum speed etc. Now all of them are eating up my bandwidth at same speed

@Bharath_Jain Absolutely agree, its not wise of TP-Link to remove this super useful feature. Hope they are listening and will work towards restoring Bandwidth control.

QOS Isn't the same thing. Being able to allot bandwidth per device is an important feature, that even routers from 8-10 years ago have.

@A_K agree 100% with this post, surely this can be recified with a firmware update and ensure your loyal customers don't move to other brands that offer this basic functionality.

@Kevin_Z Please advise Dev team to add this features bandwith control also time schedule for guest wifi also bandwith control for guest network. The new update is still lack of features while the cheap and old models has. QoS feature only to add the global bandwith control but can't allocate speed per device or Ip adress, so different on the emulator site before I bought this router, high/middle/low priority QoS feature wasn't here totally a false feature. Hope we see this features as soon as possible. Thanks

Please add bandwith control. It's more useful when I have to limit some devices' speed.
