Archer A9 not booting and trying to restore
All of a sudden the router only showed 2 leds on, both are the wifi leds. Tried rebooting but no go.
I am trying to do a recovery by tftp but after passing around 9mb (firmware is about 15mb) it times out and goes into booting into whatever state was.
Could it be that I need a stripped or smaller firmware?

First try to hard reset it by holding the reset hole for 10s with it powered on.
Then you can recover the firmware with the instruction below:

And what happens before this issue? When and where did you buy this router?
Good day.

Try to follow the instruction to recover the firmware via the web page.
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1482/
Still the same, you can contact the retailer or the local tech support to check whether a replacement is qualified.
Good day.

Hi, I tried doing TFTP but it times out after sending 9MB, and its 15MB total.
Before the issue everything was working perfectly.
I bought this on amazon.

I see, sorry to hear that.
Cause it cannot be fixed, you can give a call to the retailer or local tech support to deal with the warranty issue.
Good day.
