Deco M4 slow speed
Hello all!
I have installed 2 deco M4 units. I have a 500Mbps connection. When I plug the ethernet cable that feeds my main M4 node (that comes from the router) directly to a laptop I can get 499Mbps, but when I connect to the main M4 node with an ethernet cable I only get 160 Mbps, is this normal? Also wifi connection with the laptop (AC1200) near the main M4 node I can't get more than 150Mbps on 5Ghz, is this normal too? The firmware is the latest...
Thanks

@TP-Link network below.
Home network all wired with gigabit backbone (TP-link 1 Gb/s switching). One of the decos insists to automatically switch the port from Gigabit to 100 MB/s. If I connect the laptop on the same port if automatically goes for 1 Gb/s.

I fixed my slow Deco with using cables to two of the three Decos
The two that are connected w cable to the router gives 500MB Wifi speed and that is my connection.

@MeshedUP Thanks for the info. My 3 decos are wired with a 1 Gb/s connection but one of the decos insists to change the link to 100 Mb/s

If you swap two satellite Deco places, will problem follow the Deco unit or will it stay where it is now?
That is quite simple test, to find if Deco unit has hardware issue or if Deco units don't like one specific Ethernet cable of yours.

@Alexandre. indeed it seams to be an hardware issue then.... Thanks for the tip. Anyhow it is bad that we have no way to confirm the port speed being used.

@JFil Hi..i'm experienced the similar situation too.. My package 300Mbps when using standard ZTE wireless router connected to LAN cable my speed got 270Mbps and when using wireless network got 240-260Mbps. When setup Deco M4 to my ZTE wireless router using LAN cable. Wireless network 5G on my ZTE still open, then I'm trying speed test when connected to Deco wireless network and the result of speed is around 100-140Mpbs. Then switch off wireless 5G network on my ZTE router then try again and the result still the same. Now at the 2nd floor coverage network look good for 5G but the speed become lesser and lesser. Speed test in front of Deco node and the result around 30 -50Mbps. So what happen to my speed??. Coverage better but speed lesser.

have you tried "Deco labs" feature from your Deco mobile app and see if it shows something?
Deco labs will check channels interference, speed, signal strength., etc

Hi, did the Deco M4 work on the access point mode or wireless router mode?
Have you checked the Ethernet speed from the main Deco?
Have you tried to turn off the 2.4ghz and leave the 5gz only to test the wireless speed?
--at the same time, could you please help me check the wireless link speed on the device as well:

Thank you very much.
