Hi:
try to configure your network card with static ip address, 192.168.1.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 default gateway 192.168.1.1
Once you are done, connect directly your computer by cable to the router (not wifi) and try to ping 192.168.1.1, if the router is still alive, try to see if it is still responding to the port 21 (netcat or telnet should do the work, nc 192.168.1.1 21 or telnet 192.168.1.1 21). If you are lucky and your router is still alive, connect via tftp, set the binary mode by default and send the firmware again.

Hi
First of all Thanks for Reply.
I changed network ip settings to manual and provided it with following
IP Address-192.168.1.2
Subnet Mask-255.255.255.0
Default Gateway-192.168.1.1
then i tried to ping the modem/router,it says Destination Host Unreachable and thus no other command is applicable yet.
Thanks.

Change it back into obtain IP address automatically and check default gateway of local area connection.
If nothing, try to hard reset it (holding reset hole about 15 secs) and see what happens. Check status of all indicators and confirm they are runing properly.

Hi
I don't think that configuring your network card as a "obtain IP address automatically" is going to work here, that's why I told you to try with static ip address, the less features from the router you use (like dhcp) the better
If only the power LED glows, I'm afraid you have a nice paperweight.

Dear mtruchado, I just confirmed that the modem is able to communicate with the computer. (My modem model is TD-W8961ND V3.0) How do I set the binary mode by default and send the firmware again.
