RE650 Wifi Extender keep disconnect every 20 minutes
Just bought a RE650 recently. I setup accordingly and connect my PC with ethernet cable. But, it seems not stable. Keep disconnect every few minutes later. Any suggestion or troubleshoot can try?

Hardware: RE650 v1.0
Firmware: 1.0.9 Build 20201112 Rel. 66232
Mine is frequently disconnecting any time there is a decent load on it (one device... and sometimes when no load at all). I watch the LED's go out and watch them slowly come back on. Checking the log, it shows that it is shutting down/rebooting. It seems like it is overheating, even though the environment that it sits in is at about 65-69 degrees F. This is extremely frustrating, as it will do this regardless the outlet that it is plugged into. At worst, I've had this happen at least 4 times in an hour. This has been an issue since day one of having this range extender. TP Link's guides have not helped to rectify the issue. We also have an RE450 (V2.2 with firmware of RE450(US)_V2_210301) that behaves in the same fashion. The RE's are no further than 50 feet from the WRT1900AC router (not as the crow flies). Again, they still are dropping/rebooting even when they're closer to the router.

@JigaWatt I have the same hardware version and updated also to the latest firmware
Hardware: RE650 v1.0
Firmware: 1.0.9 Build 20201112 Rel. 66232
I am facing the same exact problem as you are, the same as everyone described in this thread, when i paid 120$ for this extender i though it will be a beast and turns out its not even working , every while the light of 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz turn off and i loose the connection , i tried to make the channels fixed on the main router and i used a static IP address on the Extender and it did not help , i changed locations and i put them next to each other to eliminate any possibility of walls interference still the same , i have done every suggestion on the internet to overcome this issue with no help , i am thinking to return it and get my money back , its either a faulty hardware / heating or may the firmware need upgrade ,
I saw for the same RE650 V2 the latest firmware upgrade says " Fixed a connection drop issue" , could be the V1 also has the same problem but they did not discover it yet ?? , very annoying actually , please help us here .
