Hello, i bought TL-WPA8630p kit from friend, but noticed, that one with wi-fi module is wpa8635p, i googled it and found it was made for France. Can i upgrade firmware to english version? And where i can find firmware for it? I want to use tpPLC app, web interface is in France now, i don't understand it.

@Tmk Another question, if i will plug ethernet cable to my wpa8635p (8630p), will it work as regular access point?

Hello, please verify the hardware version and country version of the TL-WPA8630PKit, you can find them on the back of the actual device. 

 

What about the current system language? Is it English or French? 

 

You can use the tpPLC app and the web UI. Below is the download link of the tpPLC utility; you can access the web UI with it.

Besides, the powerline adapters communicate with each other via power line, you can connect your device to it by wired cable or wireless to get internet.

Hello, I checked the database and could not find FR version. Could you please show me a screenshot of the bottom label on the actual device? 

 

Meanwhile, the firmware is necessary, you can get it once you accessed the web UI per picture attached below.

First the TL-WPA8635Pkit FR version cannot install the EU firmware; while it may supports multi-language. 

 

Please login to the web UI of the adapter via the utility and verify whether you can see an option to change language manually on the right upper corner. 

 

If there is no such feature, please show me a screenshot of this page.
