Model: TL-MR3020
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 180907

After initial setup the device recognises the 3G/4G modem but after a moment it's status in "Internet > 3G/4G USB Modem:" goes to Unknown.

When I unplug the USB modem and plug it back in the router is detecting it and says it successfully connects and gives error code 80002 after which it restarts itself.

I asume the problem is in the modem itself but it is possible to have the wrong settings because I only used the quick setup.

@komunkulus

When the TL-MR3020 stops working, please tell us the led status of it.

At the same time, please plug the USB modem into the computer directly, bypass the TL-MR3020 and verify whether you can access internet from the USB dongle directly.

Besides, you can try to create the network profile manually with the APN information.

Go to advanced-network-internet page to set the Dial Number, APN, Username and Password manually.

May it help.

@Kevin_Z
Hello, thank you for the quick reply.
I will assume the LED's indications are as follows:
power, 3G/4G signal, wi-fi signal, unknown (irrelevant)

When it stops only the power and wi-fi signal LEDs are on.

Right now it's stable and working as intended but that will probably change when I bring it back to the IP camera.

@komunkulus

Thanks for your reply.

You can take some time to test its performance; if it happens again, then try to create the connection profile manually with the APN information.

Besides, you can adjust some wireless settings to improve its performance, like channel and channel width.

Merry Christmas and have a happy new year.
