Model: Tapo C200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.4 Build 191023

Has anyone tried to connect Tapo C200 to NVR system? or successfully view the camera through 3rd party software?

I've recieved my C200 today, and for some reason the username/password set under Advanced Setting->Camera account doesn't seem to work at all.

I've tried to connect to the camera through iSPY/VLC Player/Synology Surveillance station. But none of them works, they all showed username/password incorrect, even if I've changed several username/passwords combination and reset the camera few times.

I think the username/password function on C200 just doesn't work. At least I can't seem to get it working.

Has anyone successfully connect Tapo C200 to stream over 3rd party software?

@MilKie

Sorry by english, i'm spanish and i havent high skills en english.

Tapo Camera connects ok to synology surveillance station, yo must conect onvif generic cam at 2020 tcp port. The username and password must be setup  in tapo app after pairing with your phone.

@Doesitmatter

I've followed all the steps, and tried several third part programs and apps, bur for me it's always the same, WRONG CREDENTIALS, despite of creating the account on the tapo app.

Does this works for someone? Maybe my camera is wrong... but doesn't work with ONVIF or RST, nothing works.

Thank you!

@nan.castellar  I recall I had the same issue initially & I had to tick a box on the tapo app when connected top the cam. At least I think. I can check my settings tonight on the app and zoneminder and update.

@Ludovic @nan.castellar

in Tapo app, go to camera, setting, advanced settings, camera account and create a username[1] and password[2].

in zoneminder on home screen
click "add"
no essentail settings on general tab need to be changed but add a group if you want & change to Modect if you prefer.

Source Tab
Source path will be rtsp://username[1]:password[2]@YOUR cameara IP:554/stream1
So example is rtsp://thisisausername:thisisapassword@192.168.1.99:554/stream1

capture resolution I set to 1920x1080

Save it and wait a short while as ZM doesn't "see" the new cam right away. Maybe 15 seconds to wait?

Also if you want to test the stream, copy the rtsp: address into vlc player under "media, open network stream"

Hi,

I have ASUSTOR 3102T NAS.

I want to add my tapo c200 cam to ASUSTOR Surveillance Center app. I tried with onvif, user defined (rtsp, rts.....) but I couldn't add the tapo c200. Please help:

Screen parameters :

Model : Generic <MJPEG> or <RTP over RTSP (TCP)> or <RTSP and RTP over HTTP>

Port : ? (I Tried 554, 443, 2020 but not worked)

RTSP Path : <stream1> or </stream1> or ..... ?

RTSP Port : ? (I Tried 554, 443, 2020 but not worked)

@yusufkilinc  Did you enable on the camera? "In Tapo app, go to camera, setting, advanced settings, camera account and create a username[1] and password[2]."

Also does the stream work in VLC?

rtsp://username:password@IPaddress:554/stream1

obv substitute you values above

@Doesitmatter

Good day.

The video stream would work in VLC.

@Brook and you followed this guide?

Seems pretty straight forward and if it works in VLC, then you've got all the details needed.
