How do I get Wifi over 100 Mbps on Deco E4?

Hi.
I have a Deco E4 and have a 300 Mbps broadband connection, but is only able to get less than 100 Mbps Wifi connection (up- and download) with my E4.
I can see that the E4 can deliver up 300 Mbps at 2,4 GHz, but did also read this in a support thread:
"Please note if the Deco model is a product with 100Mbps Ethernet ports, the maximum speed of the Deco system is 100Mbps only".
Now I am a bit confused. How I can fully use my 300 Mbps broadband connection with the E4?
(On a side note, I can around 300 Mpbs if I connect my computer directly to the fiber box, without the E4 in between).
Can someone can elaborate :-)

I now replaced E4s to M5 except for the one in my sister’s master bedroom. My current set up is:
Main M5: Patio
2nd M5: My Sister’s Sala
3rd M5: on my 2nd floor Sala
1 E4: My sister’s master bedroom.
We live right next to each other and our lot area combined is only less than 200 sqm. All Decos are placed strategically to ensure there’s enough signal received from other decos…
And voila! Speed are the still the same with my E4s. Hehe.
Only at the main deco (when I am almost next to it) I receive an almost 300mbps speed.

Welcome to the community.
Adding Deco X20 will help break the 100 bandwidth limit.
As for the 2.4ghz speed, the maximum link speed of E4 is 300m/s, so the actual 2.4ghz speed will be less than 300m/s due to wireless loss, about 150m/s.
For 5ghz, if the clients are also 802.11 ac even higher compatible, the 5ghz speed could be about 500m/s.

@Maro_M, just like you, I have an M4 for my main deco and then I have 3 E4s as slaves. Sharing my speed checks to the community.
My main M4 Deco is connected via ethernet cable to my router while my E4 Decos are wirelessly connected to the M4 Deco.
Only my main M4 Deco can reach 300-350mbps speed (unfortunately still below my ISP speed of 600mbps). The E4s can only go as high as 100-200mbps. My PC connected via LAN cable directly to the router can reach the 600mbps speed.
So I guess the E4s can exceed the 100mbps speed when connected wirelessly, but still with reduced speed than the main M4 Deco.
Does your M4s (acting as slaves) yield lower speed and same as your E4s?

I have a newly installed M4 as my main node and got 3 E4 as slave nodes and they are all connected wirelessly. Like other folks in this thread, i am getting less than 100Mbps in each of the E4s. When i am connected to M4 WiFi, speed reaches more or less than 300Mbps. is there any configuration to get my E4s running almost close to my M4's speed?

Hi, thanks for the feedback.
Could you please refer to this link to check the signal source on each E4 to make sure it has at least 2 bars?
Then please check the link speed on the clients when it is connected to E4.
It could be highly appreciated if you could provide some pictures of the results above.

After that, you could have a simple test:
1. only link one E4 wirelessly to the main M4, maybe about 15-20ft away from M4.
2. stand next to E4 and test the speed of 5Ghz.
3. Then unplug E4 and connect the same device to the main M4, still standing in the same place and test the speed again.
Please help me update the speedtest result later.

@KlausDetlef same I manage to make mine work but my other slave E4 shows Ethernet cable icon, (even its not connected via Ethernet) Do yoU happen to have the same issue?

Hello, I have a similar problem to @mjm23. My setup is between 2 floors. My main Deco M4 along with 2 satellites E4 that are on the first floor can reach speeds of up to 200m/s down and 20m/s up. But my 3rd satellite E4 that is on the 2nd floor can only reach up to 100m/s and 10m/s up.
I used to have a connection speed of 100m/s and 10m/s up and every Deco on both floors had the same speeds. Now that I upgraded my connection to 200m/s and 20m/s up, the satellite Deco E4 on the 2nd floor can't reach my new connection speed. I tried everything you proposed. The signal strength is 2 bars. The connection length is roughly the same between all decos: the satellites are all approximately 5 meters away from the main Deco M4. But for some reason the satellite on the 2nd floor has half the speeds of the rest.
I guess it has something to do with signal strength and the thick wall between the floors? If that is the case then when my connection was 100m/s, why the deco of the 2nd floor had 100m/s instead of 50m/s speed?
