Implemented Tapo C200 ONVIF PTZ
Hi All,
I recently purchased a Tapo C200 Pan/Tilt Home Security WiFi Camera, and I can connect via ONVIF to the RTSP streams, as per the instructions available here:
https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/2680/
However, I have tried several different third-party surveillance software and I seem to be unable to control the camera's Pan/Tilt via ONVIF (the native Tapo App works fine).
Is PTZ control via ONVIF actually supported?
Thank you,
Dimitris

@David-A Are you saying this camera supports PT commands via ONVIF? Can you share the auto generated settings? I'm trying to get this camera to work in Zoneminder.

I met same situation, the C200 works fine with the Tapo App in my mobile phone, at home of course it works fine with WiFi connection, and in my office also works fine while using 4G directly with WiFi off, both video and PT works fine, actually I didn't really understand how they auto configuation for this, but it really works.
In home I use a new Synology DS220j for connection with C200, setting is ONVIF, and find no PTZ function available, really unhappy for brand so big like TP-Link, but if I can use the mobile App to remote control the PTZ of the C200, and just use the NAS for the video recording, maybe that's the only one way to work!
C200 is really nice and affordable 1080P PTZ camera now, but seems the TP-Link really don't want to do any PTZ improvement on it, I did find a firmware update of 1.07 Build 200324 Rel.44069n, but still no PTZ function workable after the updating in my DS220j.
Best Regards
David

I'm quietly hopeful TP-Link will add support for PTZ control. As at firmware 1.10 I have now, it does not
I've successfully added the camera to BlueIris using tcp/2020 as the ONVIF Discovery port and "/stream1" as the main stream after also configuring a username and password for the camera in the Tapo app, but without PTZ it's only half useful. I've also been unable to get the speaker function to work via BlueIris, but the camera MIC is fine so I can hear what the camera picks up.

Hello, thanks for your interest.
Update:
There is no Camera Control Utility for desktop or laptop. But the camera supports the standard ONVIF protocol which allows users to control it through third-party software like Happytime ONVIF Client, ONVIF Device Manager, etc.
Please refer to FAQ: How can I play an RTSP live stream of my Tapo camera:https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2680/ for more details.

Waiting for PTZ 3rd party control and please add all the feature at the same time like motion detection at least.
