No WIFI when paired on WPA8630P extender
Hi!
I just bought a WPA8360P KIT and an extender WPA8360P.
When I plug the extender (without pairing it) I got a full WIFI signal that I can join (but without internet).
To have internet, I pair the devices together, and then the WIFIs networks disappear.
I have to reset the device to enable the WIFI again.
But as soon as I pair it, WIFI is gone again.
I tried to reset it 10 times, I tried to hold the wifi button for 10s on the extender unit.
My devices (IPAD, IPAD Pro, iPhones, XPS DELL) are successfully connected to the internet with the router's wifi.
I already paired the same device 15mn before without any problem, so it doesn't come from the electrical plug.
If you have any idea!
Thanks

I just understand something.
The wifi was indeed working, the last extender was only using the same name as the first extender SSID. That is why I didn't notice any changes.
Everything is fine now,
Thanks,
Kind regards

Hello, please ensure that the wifi leds on the extender units are on.
May I know have you ever cloned the wireless settings of the main router?
You can login to the web UI of the TL-WPA8630P via the tpPLC utility and customize the wireless settings. Below is the instruction.

May it help.

@Kevin_Z Hi ! Thanks
The Wifi leds are green.
I tried to clone the wifi but my extender doesn't show any wifi SSID. Its doesn't show up on my devices, and my other extender works fine. There is SSID wifi showing up on all the same devices.
I can't login to any of the UI or IOS app because I need to connect a wifi network beforehand.
My main problem is no wifi if showing up after I do the pairing process.
Kind regards,

Hello, please hard reset it by holding the reset button.
Then you can pair them via the tpPLC utility, no pair button anymore. Instruction is listed below:

If you want to customize the wireless settings, you can use the tpPLC utility to do that also.

@Kevin_Z Thanks again
but maybe I am not clear with my question,
I have no problem for pairing my second WPA8630P extender
I have a problem with wifi.
- Step 1: I plug my WPA8630P extender / I have WIFI ok showing on all my devices
- Step 2: I pair my WPA8630P extender / the WIFI SSID disappear from all my devices
WPA8630P extender is working fine on the TP-link software. Ethernet wire connexion is OK.
4 LEDs are fine (the only one which is not working is the one in the center).
But no wifi anymore.
I think there is a problem with the extender itself.

Thanks for your reply, glad to hear that you figured it out.
We doubt that you may copied the wireless settings of the main router, that is why we suggest you to check or change the wireless settings of the TL-WPA8630Pkit and it turns out that is the root cause.
Thanks again for your sharing, it will help those who have the same misunderstanding.
Good day.
