Model: TL-MR3020
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 3.17.2 Build 140610 Rel.65031n

Hi,

I have one TL-MR3020 v1, firmware version 3.17.2 Build 140610 Rel.65031n. I am using it with USB 3G Huawei E303 and it works quite well. However, you know, the 3G speed is slow and I wanna change to 4G. I search around my location and see that the USB 4G Huawei E3372 is available, but this USB is not in TL-MR3020 v1 compatibility list. Can I fix this problem?

Thank you for your help!!!

Hello, have you bought this huawei 4G modem yet?

If you have purchased it already, we can have a try and verify whether they can work together.

1. You can plug the 4G modem into the USB port of TL-MR3020 and verify whether it can be detected.

2. If it is detected but no internet access, you can try to create the network profile manually; You need login to the web UI first and then go to network-internet/dial up settings and select create manually.

If it cannot be detected or detected but no internet access, I'm afraid that there is not much we can do, they may not compatible with each other.

Good day.

Thanks for your reply. I got your point.

Considering the potential loss, it is not suggested to buy the 4G modem; and if you do want to use the 4G connection, you can order a 4G LTE router, which can work with the sim card directly, like Archer MR400, Archer MR600; They are more convenient and do not have to worry about the compatibility issue as long as the sim card matches.

Dear Kevin_Z, Thank you for your help!!! I have not bought the USB 4G yet. I still find the solution for this problem, make sure my TL-MR3020 can work with USB 4G. If there is nothing certain, I think I will keep using the 3G modem E303, or change to another 4G product.
