Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 0.9.1

I have a MR600 wifi Router and would like to expand the wifi network with some OneMesh Compatible extenders (RE305 Model), my question is

can these be chained together to extend the signal.  e.g.   Router <> Extender 1 <> Extender 2.   Rather than each extender having a direct wifi connection

to the MR600 Router.

Hello, they can be chained like Main router ))(( RE 1 ))(( RE2 to build up the mesh network. But actually, with mesh-network enabled, the extender will select the front end device automatically to get better performance. So even though you connect them as daisy-chained, it is possible for the two extenders to connect to the router directly.

Best regards.

@ansellp

i did eventually find the answer at the bottom of the OneMesh page. Hopefully anyone searching for the same answer will find this post.

Q2: How to set up a mesh network when there are more than two repeaters joining into the network?

A2: Generally we suggest connecting all the repeaters to the router for better performance. Customers can also connect one repeater to another repeater which already gets connected to the router, however we don’t recommend you to add more than two repeaters to one single link chain in consideration of the Wi-Fi quality.
