Model: TL-PA4010
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I've got problems with TL-PA4010. While at home or in garage communication is established, after moving around 60m (200 feet) away they drop connection.

This problem doesn't occur with TL-WPA4220 or TL-PA4010P. Tested on same line, same condition.

TL-PA4010 claims it has also up to 300m (600 feet) range, which is not true. I've tested around 4 sets of this device so far.

Do this device has weaker transmitter or it's some other issue?

Best regards,

@Lisciasty

What is the hardware version of the TL-PA4010 and TL-PA4010P?

What is the led status of the TL-PA4010 after you moved it 60m away?

Besides, do you plug it into the same socket where the TL-PA4010P/TL-WPA4220 work well?

Please ensure that the firmware is up to date.

Good day.

@Kevin_Z

As for hardware version no idea at the moment, devices are not here, must check.

Led status is like power on, sync off. Devices were paired at home and worked properly, after moving to garage still working properly, after moving 60m away sync diode is gone.

Device was plugged in same terminal (3-phase MCB). Same circuit, same cable. Ofc I've checked all 3 phases separately for sync.

I'll check the firmware, hope it will help.

*Update

Firmware on PA4010 was 1.3.1.2141-00_401013_171025_901, I've changed it to US version 1.3.0.2134-00_401003_171219_901 just for testing.

Is it any chance that some EU regulations prohibit to use higher transmission power?

I've not checked it on place yet.
