Model: Archer C1200
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.2 Build 20180118 rel.38979 (EU)

Router info:

Hardware Version: Archer C1200 v2.0

Firmware: 2.0.2 Build 20180118 rel.38979 (EU)

I'm having issues with my Archer 1200 v2 with random reboots...

It happens at least twice a day. It takes 1 to 2 minutes to come back up again.

When this happens the lights of the router behave like a reboot.

When I check system logs, the logs are only from the last 2 minutes.

Checked the power supply (it's the original one).

Checked for firmware updates there is nothing newer than the installed one.

Router has around 6 months.

I checked https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/109029 that mentions a beta firmware ? Is this the way to go ?

Any advice ?

@Kevin_Z

Hi Kevin,

Just installed it and will check.

So far this seems like an older version with a newer date. Also the web interface has a "TP-LINK Beta" background.

Anyway, will give feedback ASAP.

Best regards,

Carlos

@Kevin_Z

Hi Kevin,

Just wanted to give some feedback that the reboots stopped (at least for the last 6 days).

Any chance for a public release firmware update ?

Best regards,

Carlos

@CarlosFigueira

I have the same issue, my router rebooted 8 times last day (2020. 06. 17.)

Did the new beta firmware helped you out? Should I try it the firmware update on my C1200 V2?

@Kevin_Z Hello Kevin,

V3 latest release is now available. Can you please tell us when would it be available for EU V2 routers? The beta seems to be working for me.

@JBRP

Hello, sorry to respond late.

Do you encounter the auto-reboot issue with your C1200(US)_V2? If yes, please try the below beta firmware and monitor again:

https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202001/20200103/Archer C1200(US)_V2_180307(Beta).zip

How to upgrade it, please refer to the guide below:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2139/

May this helps. Good day.

Hello,

Glad to hear that the beta firmware helped.

As far as I know, there is a plan to release new firmware for the V2, but the priority is low and it may take a long time, so we don't have any ETA for it and we hope you could understand.

Hello,

If you encounter the same auto-reboot issue, please try to install the beta firmware to give it a go, but before that, please check your C1200 version, if it is a EU version or US version, as these two are different.

Nice day.
