Wifi security WPA2 AES missing in Deco M9 Plus?
I am trying to connect my car ( Volvo XC60 ) to my Wifi. The car wants me to change WPA2 to AES instead of TKIP!
So no connection!
Connection to another Wifi router with WPA2 AES is OK!
I can not find any place in the Deco M9 settings to change Wifi security!
Any clues??

@TalTik Just to make it clear - as has been stated in this thread a few times, the Deco system supports WPA2 (AES) and always has. The issue is that you cannot turn off the support for WPA (TKIP). Any device that can will use WPA2, but the concern is that a device could be tricked into using the older standard, and thus become less secure.

Hi all, thanks for asking again.
We have actually released the beta firmware for the Deco device to allow you to change the security type now, please refer to the below post for more details:

@TP-Link_Deco STATED, I HAVE BOTH THE RE650 and RE200 WIRELESS EXTENDERS. BOTH HAVE THIS ISSUE, WILL NOT CONNECT TO MY ASUS RT-3200 ROUTER VIA AES, AND THE ASUS IS SET TO AES ENCRYPTION. ALL OTHER IOS AND WIN 10 DEVICES THAT CONNECT DIRECTLY TO THE ASUS ROUTER CONNECT VIA AES. BUT WHEN CONNECTING VIA THE RE650 OR RE200 EXTENDERS, WILL ONLY CONNECT VIA TKIP. BOTH YOUR DEVICES HAVE BEEN UPDATED TO LATEST FIRMWARE. YOUR REPLIES ARE NONSENSICAL AND DO NOT ADDRESS THIS VERY SERIOUS ISSUE.

I have same issue with Deco M9 plus. I had the firmware 1.2.2, so I upgrade the firmware with windows (because via app it's not working) to 1.4.2. I still have the message from our iPhones (iOS 14.0.1) that it's not secured (tkip rather aes). TP-link has to fix it or give us this option throught the App or web ui.

Good days.
While we appreciate there is a beta firmware available, I am, like many others, waiting for the official release.
I think the TP-Link community deserves now a firm date for the official release fixing this serious issue.
Kindly escalate this ticket (unless you already did so), push it again and again, make it your personal priority and please find a solution for us!
Many thanks!
