It works but I cannot see 5 GHz channels above 48 or create an access point with a channel above 48. Does this work for you?

@quicker I selected continue reboot instead of mok-enroll. How can I mok-enroll again so that modprobe is permitted? If anyone knows fix please reply

Thanks a lot @MonkeyDLuffy

My remarks:

  1. To my best understanding, the punchline command:
    sudo modprobe 88x2bu
should be made after reboot and disabling the MOK "thing"
(which appears as blue boot screen and requires password)
  2. I mis-completed this disabling stage and after reboot
typing it new terminal "sudo modprobe 88x2bu" yielded the following error message"
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert '88x2bu': Operation not permitted
  3. To fix this I followed @Gourav rawat instructions at https://askubuntu.com/a/1198351/1002426

HTH and thanks again @MonkeyDLuffy
