Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20190620 Rel. 45372

Will the Deco M4 be allowed to manually set the Security as well as the Channel settings? 
If you are in a conjested area, the auto channel selection is not always selecting the best channel, so i want to manually set it. 
Also with the advances of security breaches, when can we see WPA3 or even manual security settings come to this generation of device. 

Upgrading devices to the latest is not possible in all areas, so if this could come with a App update or Firmware update that could provide the deployment a bit more felxibility, this would be great

We have released the beta firmware for the Deco device to allow you to change the security type now, please refer to the below post for more details:

Hello, sorry to respond late.

 

Thank you for sharing your opinions and valued suggestions again. Apologies that manually choosing a channel or choosing the security type for the Deco network are currently not available and this feature request has been forwarded to the developers for months and they are evaluating how to improve it. It is suggested to keep an eye on the Deco app or on the TP-Link official website as we will update the information once there are any updates.

Thank you for the feedback. Will opt to install the firmware once the official version is released - i do not like using Beta Firmware. Do we have any update/feedback on the feature request to manually set the channels? i see this is a highly sought after feature by so many users in this community. Rgds
