@xd-data-ii

Well crap. I followed the frickin directions and downloaded the files WTF?!

Now what?

So far everything seems to be working fine.

Although I have my main 4K TV connected to the furthest unit instead of one that's literally across the room but other than that so far so good.

Damnit I thought I did good or at least lucky.

@THEPRFCTEN

what instructions did you follow?
did you use the update utility program instructions or the ones with the command window instructions?
I doubt you'll notice anything different with the versions

i don't know why they are giving a March 24th version at the end of June.

@xd-data-ii

I followed the directions that were 8 pages long with the command prompt from the support page.

Windows 10 laptop done wirelessly.

The only thing I noticed was the sequence of the flashing LED light did not match the directions.

@patrickB I confirm as well. It's working from MacOS but not from Windows 10.

@Sleater14

for me it will not accept my TP link username and password even though I am 100% certain they are correct and there's nowhere on the app to forget username or password

Hello.

I installed the 1.4.0 to my M9 Plus V2.8 with the upgrade tool to one of the slaves and it was fine. Other one and master gave a BusinessError 9 at the end and did not upgrade.

But when I disconnected the wifi and enabled it near the device to be updated, it connected to that unit and upgrade worked fine.

Also it is important to unpack the zip contents to a folder, otherwise m9.bin cannot be found.

I was having problem with my time zone and my hardware did not have support for UI; and support had me install this but I still cannot access UI from my browser. Maybe the timezone issue is fixed with this release, I will check soon.

@TP-Link_Deco

So via the utility and PDF directions:  Good News, it went through to update......Bad news, even though I had my Dell laptop connected to the MAIN unit only one of the slaves received the update!!!!!!  The MAIN unit and other slave did NOT update!  Thoughts????

@THEPRFCTEN

Make sure you are connected to the unit you are updating. Maybe cable connection can help but I switched my wifi off and then on next to the unit. Otherwise I got Business Error 9 whatever it is
