Model: Adapter
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Hello everyone!

I have a T9UH Version 2 Wireless adapter, which i bought recently. Every 1-2 weeks it starts to go into a disconnection cycle on 5GHZ: disconnects, turns off, then turns back on and doing this after it entered the cycle. As far as i'm right the problem is connecting to 5GHZ only. A pc reboot sometimes helps, but sometimes not. Sometimes changing the USB port (plugging it to another USB port) helps too. But it happened none helped, then restarted network router and that helped. While these things are happening, i have no problem with any other wireless devices, so there is no problem with my WIFI network.
 Important thing to add: I had a T2UH adapter before, and it was doing this exact same thing on 5Ghz.

I tried:
-different drivers
-different ports
-changing channels on wifi router
-tried a driver which was recommended here:
https://sites.google.com/site/bangaroovh/searchindex/tplinkdriver

None of these have any effect, after a while the problem is coming back. Now it was okay for 10 days, and today it started again, i changed ports now, and it is working again. But this is just a temporary solution. What can be the cause. I suspect it is something with my motherboard. If yes can sy help me how to find that out. My motherboard is:
GA-B250-HD3P-rev-10

And operating system is: Windows 10

So it seems - after googling and trying out 5-6 different drivers -  i found the solution, here you can find it in this post:

You need to download and install this driver:

@g_seni

Hi, please help do some troubleshooting:

"But it happened none helped, then I changed to network router and that helped"-- What do you mean? Do you mean the adapter worked fine for 10 days after you changed the main wireless router? May I know the models for both routers?

How far away between this Windows 10 computer and the main router? What about the wifi signal strength?

Is it possible to try this adapter on another computer to do a comparative analysis?

Have a great day.

@Solla-topee

Hi, thank you for answering.

"But it happened none helped, then I changed to network router and that helped"-- What do you mean? :
Sorry i meant RESTARTED ... so:
"But it happened none helped, then I restarted network router and that helped"

Router is 2 meters away from computer. All other devices are working totally fine while this is happening. It happens randomly, after 7-10 days, i turn back on my computer from sleep mode and then it starts happening.

I haven't done anything to trigger this phenomenon, it just happening randomly. I'm not touching the wifi router.

One very important thing that i forgot to add: i had a t2uh adapter before, and it was doing this exact same thing on 5Ghz.

The router type is: ZyXEL P8702N

I'm having similar problems like @g_seni with my recently purchased T9uh v2. This is how I recreate the issue:

1. Lock my laptop for a few minutes which puts it to sleep. The blue led on the adapter turns off.

2. Unlock my laptop. Blue led on adapter turns on.

3. After waking up, at times ( maybe once out of three times ) the adapter fails to connect to the 5 gHz network. Ping to my router. 192.168.1.1 reports a 100% packet loss.My builtin laptop adapter works fine.

4. I then change the USB port of the adapter ( take it out of the cradle and connect it directly to a different USB port ) - it works properly. But it's only a temporary fix, the problem comes back after the laptop goes to sleep.

I've tried the 20191129 driver from the previous post but that fails to fix the issue. Any help ?
