archer vr400 rate and line attenuation issue
Hi,
Iam having an issue with my router
Iam getting high data rate and lower line attenuation on huawei ISP basic router
also I have another question does the 4 lan ports of that router support gigabit connection or only one port
also I have seen a video showing that the vr300 gives higher rate unlike this one so why and is it a software issue or hardware issue and how come that happens ?
with such expensive device
that is another line

Good Day,
Thank you very much for your feedback.
Please refer to the following information:
- All 4 LAN ports on VR400 are 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 Ports,
For the DSL rate issue, you have attached 4 pictures, so I guess the first one is from the Huawei ISP router, and the 2nd is from VR300, the last two are from VR400?
- All the 3 routers are tested under the same DSL line, right?
- Who is your internet service provider and what kind of connection did you use Dynamic IP, or PPPoE?
After that, please refer to the following suggestions:
- Reset the modem once, then remove the DSL splitter if there is any;
- Update the firmware of the VR400 to be the latest one: ArcherVR400(EU)_V2_200706

Hi,
i have already reset the router be4 and tried that
also it is updated to latest software
tests are for same lines with no time interval disconnected hauwei router and installed tplink router then tried
two readings was we TEdata previously
2 lines in 2 different area in my town from 2 different MSAN cabins
as you can see there is a huge difference for the sake of the huawei one in reading by about 10 mb or 20%, it didn't even raise the snr the get the same snr
so what should i do ?
in software update it is updated to latest version

Good day.
Sorry for the delay.
Since you mentioned that ‘same lines’ and ‘2 lines in 2 different areas in my town from 2 different MSAN cabins’, so I guess even though there are two different locations, the DSL service type is the same and also from the same internet provider?
Have you swapped the location of the VR400 and VR300 to see if there are already lower DSL upstream and downstream info?
And I noticed that on the VR300, the DSL Annex type is Annex A/L/M; while on the VR400, it is only Annex A.
So if possible, please try to change it to the Annex A/L/M to see if that helped;
Later we might need to follow up on your case via email for further assistance.
Thank you very much and have a nice day.
