Archer T3U Plus - dropping pings
Bought brand new, installed drivers from the supplied disk, had issues immediately so found and upgraded from the TP Link site. Network frequently drops momentarily if you do a ping you can see it chokes every 4th or 5th ping either timing out completely or responding with like 3000ms response time. Windows is up to date and works perfectly fine with ethernet, just I need to move this PC into another room where there isnt any ethernet.
I have an Archer A7 router/AP with 2 RE300 mesh extenders which have 3 bars of signal, all other devives seem to work pretty well on this network.
I always seem to have issues with USB wireless adapters, frustrating!
Can I tweak some settings somewhere?

@Kathy_Z could you send me the new driver? It's really impossible to work like this, why do you release this product with this poor performance.

Hi everyone,
I found a "fix" that seems to work on my end (on meshed networks).
0. USB 2 connection (3 also works I think, but untested).
1. Beta drivers (Archer T3U_beta_U2_U3_5G unstable issue_1030.22.0202.2018) --> manual install windows x64 drivers
2. go to adapter settings/advanced/Wireless mode and set to the bottom one (IEEE 802.11b/g/n).
Should work instantly without a reboot (not 100% perfect ping though, but better)

@Appelkoek your solution worked for me!
Except instead of forcing IEEE 802.11b/g/n I forced it to be IEEE 802.11ac
I guess it depends on how your internet is set up. Jitter and packet loss went down instantly
EDIT: I spoke too soon. It's still happening, albeit less frequently

Hey@Temennigru
We have a newer chipset driver for Archer T3U /T3U Plus, please give it a try and issue will be gone or not.

Here is the instruction to manually install driver: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/920/
If the concern persists, would you mind creating a new thread and share some case details, like which WiFi band is not stable, model of wifi router, how frequent that happen and how connection recover, the error message etc., thank you.

Hello.
I try to buy different TP link wifi adapter model TL-WN722N V3 and I have the same issue like with Archer T3U Plus and it was very strange for me. I try to make local wifi from my mobile and the ping was very good, not delayed or high ping. So i think problem is in wifi router, i try to change setting in router and what i change is CHANNEL WIDTH to 20 MHz, CHANNEL to fixed 1, 2, 3 - 13 and i see on all of these different results. Best result i have on CHANNEL 12, so i set the channel to this value and the internet is good, stable, without big pings and delayed. So this is my solution of this fck***** problem. I hope it will help anyone of you.
