Model: Archer MR400
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.9.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 190307 Rel.45273n

My internet actively switches between 4G bands 1, 3 , and 40 that's causing frequent internet disconnection. Speed varies from the band that my network is on, which is frustrating. Want to be able to switch between band and lock on to a particular band. Is there a beta firmware that allows me to do this?

Thanks.

@raghavadhithya

Good day.

I saw that you have already got the beta firmware and well doneyes.

PS:For some else who might need it:

Note: This beta firmware is working for MR200(EU) V3/V4, MR400(EU) V2/V3, MR6400(EU) V3/V4

@Sunshine

Is there a newer firmware I noticed MR600 seem to have one?  Also I wondered why the beta firmware is a lot smaller than the v4 firmware from support site

@Sunshine

Same problem as OP but my Hardware version is MR400 V4. It is really annoying (to work from home) with router switching bands automatically.  Please see that Band 5 and Band 3 are stable with more than 5Mbps speed while the router thinks that Band 40 is best. When this happens Band 40 offers 0kbps upload speed and abysmal download speeds like 0.xx Mbps. Please allow users to stick to a specific band and change when there is network congestion.

To the powers above in TP-Link ---- > Locking bands is a must have feature for 3G/4G routers.

@Sunshine

Could you confirm that the today's new firmware update includes the option to switch between 4G bands?

Thank you

@attanasio89

Hi, I am afraid the latest firmware still did not add the option to switch between 4G bands.

Thank you.
