TL-WA801N AP No internet Access
Hi, We have three TP Link TL-WA801N devices spread across our network that we use as access points. We use PfSense as our DHCP server and firewall for our network. As we cannot have another DHCP server on our network. Each device is setup on Pfsense to use a static IP address using the mac address of each AP device. They are working fine however if you step a couple meters away from the AP then on all android devices you get the wifi icon with an exclamation mark stating there is no internet. Also when you are close enough to see the wifi network on the android devices the wifi names of the AP's have exclamation marks next to them. If you click on them it eventually goes away but as soon as you move away from the AP it comes back. The wifi channels and frequency are all set to auto. I have also set each device up to use the smart IP (DHCP) so that they obtain our gateway ip address. Under the system log I can see that it is receiving our DNS server addess as well as a request from our DHCP server. Our DHCP server = pfsense 192.168.1.250 and our DNS server is our windows server 192.168.1.243 . What do you think the problem could be?
