Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.2

I dont have the deco m5 yet but i wanted to ask:

If I already have a router that I want to only use as a modem/access switch, and cancel its wifi in order to only use the deco as a router, do I need to cancel the original router DHCP and make it a static ip?

@Net1

Hi,

If you want to use the Deco M5 as the main router, it is suggested to configure your ISP modem router into a bridge mode. However, as mastermjr2004 mentioned, this may be decided by your ISP that whether this can be achieved or not.

Hope this makes sense, good days.
