TP-LINK RE650 / TKIP - AES ISSUE STILL UNRESOLVED !
HAVE SEEN SEVERAL ANSWERS TO THE DANGEROUS USE OF TKIP VS AES ASKED BY SEVERAL USERS, YET NO ONE AT TP LINK HAS YET ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE WITH *** CLEAR AND CONCISE STEPS *** TO DISABLE TKIP AND ONLY ALLOW AES ENCRYPTION....
STOP TRYING TO BLAME USERS ROUTERS !! IT IS THE COMPLETE LACK OF CLEAR SECURITY OPTIONS ON TP LINK EXTENDERS THAT IS CAUSING THIS SERIOUS ISSUE, AND WE DEMAND YOU ISSUE A FIRMWARE UPDATE ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE ASAP, OR OFFER CLEAR AND CONSIDER INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DISABLE TKIP AND ENABLE AES ON THE EXISTING LATEST FIRMWARE ASAP !!!! THANK YOU.

RE650 is not secure because it's always connect with TKIP.
This is true for all the TP-LINK repeater.
I use the RE650 and the RE450, same security issue.

For the RE650 V1, we have the beta firmware now and if you wanna have a try, please check your message box;
For the RE450 V1 and V2, we have tested that once the front end router used AES only, and reset RE450 and reconfigure with web interface, this issue would be fixed;
For the RE450 V3, there would be official firmware released in the near future;

Firmware upgraded. No more message prompted on weak security. But how do I check the RE650 is really up and running with AES encryption ? Cant see through tether or IP. Thanks.
