Hi Tplink Community,

 

I have a TpLink repeater with model RE305 and located in India. Connected the repeater with my router through a LAN cable and running the repeater in Access Point Mode.

 

I have an Airtel internet which provides an speed to 200Mbps+ but the repeater when connected with the 5G frequency gives only upto 92 Mbps speed.

 

Also, have never updated the firmware of the device.

 

I have tried changing the various channel widths but that does not help. Finally I am using the below confguration :-

 

 

Please help me to setup my repeater so i can utilize optimum speed from my ISP.

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

As for the RE305, it has 1 x 10/100M Ethernet Port (RJ45);

So when it is set up as an access point, the internet bandwidth will be limited to the LAN port, and only up to 100m/s;

And may I know how long have you had the device?

Thank you so much for your response. I purchased this device on 30th August 2018. 

So it has been around 2 Years 1 month since i have purchased.

 

But in the specification of this device it says it supports more than 100Mbps :-

 

Then how come it does not support more than 100Mbps. Can you advise which repeater would support more then 100Mbps from tplink ?
