Model: Archer MR200
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: Latest

Hi TP-link,

Could you please include the band selection option in your firmware which will be really useful to us. It's already a mediatek processor hence band selection must be very much possible to implement. So many are really expecting this feature on their routers. Please help us.

Hello, apologies for respond late. Next time please make sure you are tagging a TP-Link Admin if you want a timely response. Unless we are tagged we do not see that new responses have been added. We do not subscribe to every thread so rely on Tagging to ensure responses.

We always suggest our customer update the TP-Link device to the latest official firmware if you happen to encounter an issue with the older firmware.

While if the issue persists on the latest official firmware, we here provide a beta firmware for you to select the band manually on the MR200(EU) V5, please download and confirm:

How to upgrade the firmware? Please check this guide:

I hope this helps, good day.

@Kevin_Z @Sunshine

Update: I can able to set band on Airtel SIM directly. However for Jio SIM if I turned off mobile data and tried searching the manual band, it worked and I can able to see the available bands.

Thank you

@Dhaya

Do you mean you need to disable the mobile data on the phone, when you can choose band manually for the Jio SIM? Can you explain this in more detail?

This is because with JIO sim if you are using default profile , you will not be able to select band. For manually selecting band you have to first create a profile manually for JIO sim.
