Deco M4 guest VLAN
M5 supports VLAN-Id for the guest network.
I can't see such an option for M4 and need it for guest network.
Did I miss something? Will it be available for M4?

@TP-Link_Deco can you let us know if/when VLAN tagging for the guest network on the ethernet port in Access Point mode will be available for the M4R (M4 v2)?

Hello, are you referring to the "Isolated from main network" option in AP mode? If yes, Deco M4 also supports that, you may confirm again.
While if it is in Router mode, there is no option to disable it and it is enabled by default.
Nice day~

No, I don't mean that option, I mean true VLAN, so my tp-link switches can separate normal traffic from guest traffic.
Thus the option that is described for the M5 here, I would also like to have for the M4: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2317/:

Yes, I'm also looking for the VLAN feature.
I bought the M4 because S4 was not available, and I thought M4 was newer and better than M5. Seems I did not do enogh reserach.
In Router-Mode the Guest-WLAN-Isolation might work, but I need to run my 3 M4s in AP-Mode, and I use Ethernet-Backhaul.
So far this works well, and I can also setup the Guest-WLAN.
But when I set the Guest-WLAN to isolated it even isolates it from the internet.
It looks like in AP-Mode the M4s do not send any of the WIFI traffic out to the Ethernet-Ports ... not even with any standard VLAN tag.
When I bought them I did not see that the combination of APMode + Isolated Guest does not really work.
If the APMode-Devices would send the packets form the Isolated Guest Network with VLAN-Tag I could tell my switch to route them only to the port with the internet router.
Do I have to return the M4 and go for M5.
Can M5 do what I want?
Or do I have to go for another brand like Unify ... a friend told me this works beautifully with VLANS.

@MaLiang ,
You better return them while you can, because TP-link is very slow with updates and they might even never add this option.

@TP-Link_Deco Can i in (Router mode) make the Ethernet LAN on GUEST? Or force some devices connected to LAN on Guest?

Hi, the Ethernet LAN devices belong to the home network by default;
But there is a workaround for your reference:
Based on the following network topology:
ISP modem—main Deco M4/M5---smart/management switch---RE Deco/ other Ethernet LAN devices;
You could configure the VLAN settings on the smart switch and make the Ethernet LAN devices under the same VLAN group as the guest network(the default VLAN tag is 591);
Thank you very much.
