The little link works reasonably well but does not show signal connection indication bars which is a bit annoying - any good reason for that?

Did you mean after set up, there is no RE and signal light on the 850RE?

How did you set up, via the WPS button, Tether APP, or Web management page?

And may I know the model number of your home router?

Not sure what RE means, Yes it was after set-up, on my list available networks I have "Old" and additionally "Old_EXT" , what is described in Installation Guide RE LED changed to solid, setting was done with WPS Button.

My understanding is that link has also indication (bar indication) showing signal strength at given location - is it correct? (if yes that the bars I am missing).
