WI-FI Detective “Generic” accessing my expander
See below. What does it mean by "generic" and how do I remove as them as it could be affecting the performance of the booster. Plus is there a security issue?

Tether app --WiFi detective function will scan for all the devices in your local network, so all the wired/ wireless clients that connected to Router / RE ( AP/ switch) will be detected as long as they are in your local network.
“ Generic” means Tether does not find specific type for it and clarify it in to General type / Unknown type, rather than a security warning.
You should be able to find those devices in your router's DHCP client list / Connected device list as well. You could compare the IP address of your device (laptop, mobile phone etc) and identify them. Here is an FAQ to check IP on computers:

May I know the model number of your TP-Link extender?
And how about the hardware and firmware version about it?
Was it the Tether APP, or some other APPs?

@Solla-topee I also have this issue.
Model RE650 just purchased and for some reason it's the V1 model ( which doesn't make sense since I just bought it, but that's what the box says).
It has the lastest firmware per your site.
