Model: TL-MR6400
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0

I've got several question about the MR6400 band selection.

Is there any band restriction with the carrier aggregation, my location support band 1, 3, 28, 40 and 41.

the most I can get with the carrier aggregation is the band 3,28 and other band would not pair to each other and sometime I need to reboot the device just to get them pair up.

is there a way to force the carrier aggregation on MR6400 or force the certain band to pair up?

I have the device updated already to enable the manual band selection and it is working but like what i mention above the other band won't pair no matter how many times i reboot the device.

I also want to know if there is a difference with the carrier aggregation pairing 3,28 and 28,3.

3,28 is the only pair i can get on my MR6400 rarelly see the pairing 28,3

Thanks.

@artis4n

Hello, thanks for asking.

As far as I know, the MR6400 doesn't support carrier aggregation as per the specifications:

https://www.tp-link.com/home-networking/3g-4g-router/tl-mr6400/#specifications

As per your another question, there are difference when choosing band 3 + band 28 and band 28 + band 3. Generally, the first band is the main one, the router will use this band to synchronize with the base station, while the second band is used to aggregate with the first, whether it will aggregate successfully will be uncertain.

If you want to choose band 28 as the main, you may choose band 28 as the second as well or choose none.
