Model: Archer C80
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.0

I have TP Link Archer C80 AC1900 router.
Certain WIFI devices continues to work without problems BUT
the others can now establish a WIFI connection WITH WORKING INTERNET very slowly after switching on (Connected, no internet), i have to wait about 130 seconds, or switch off the WIFI in the devices, then switch it on immediately, it will work again (connected) until the next switch-on. With the old
router (TP-Link WR 841N WIFI connection (with working internet) was always immediately established. What should I change in WIFI settings? With my old WIFI router was WIFI connection in all my devices after switching on always immediately established.

I have already
2.4Ghz and 5GHz WIFI channels tried with several DNS server settings, with DHCP and with static IP addresses, without effect. I also reset it, without any effect. thank you for the answer

@Bandesz

Try to set wi-fi settings like :

For 5 GHz - identically , just set Mode to 802.11n/ac mixed.

Use your ISP default DNS which should be automatically set if you Internet connection type is set to Dynamic IP.

Then test and see if there's any improvement.

Your wireless settings seems fine. Did you try to set Auto for channel number and width on 5Ghz band ? Does that make any difference ?

@Ivaylo Of course I tried these.  I've actually tried everything, such as turning off Multiuser MIMO, disabling NAT boost.
What else should i try?  Disable DHCP server?  Or enable Smart connect 2,4G/5G?

Yeah, but nothing. Probably the XIAOMi MITV-Stick cannot handle this router properly. I turn it on and there is no internet for 2-3 minutes, WIFI connection is, but no internet, after that 2-3 min. there will be internet by itself. If I disconnect it from WIFI and then back immediately, that is also a solution. Just having so much fool around every time isn’t exactly comfortable. And what’s ridiculous is that everything worked perfectly with my old wifi router, TP-Link WR 841N. After switch on immediately WIFi with internet.  But with the other device, with XIAOMI MiTV Box is still everything fine. Though the two devices are exactly the same, one has UHD support and the other doesn’t

@Bandesz

Hello, any suggestions from XIAOMI MiTV? It is suggested to confirm this with them, and we can see if we need modify any setting on the C80 then.

It’s a pretty new issue, so i have no feedback from Xiaomi right now. I was hoping that, based on my description this would be a clear phenomenon and it could be definitely determined whether a particular DNS server or something with device’s setting is the key. A couple of years ago was a similar problem with Windows systems, that after turning on we had to wait a few minutes to have internet, not only wifi connection, but it was later fixed

Hello, you may check this with Xiaomi support and see if they have encountered this issue before, then we can take further steps, thanks.

Xiaomi’s answer: ,,I would request you to check if the DNS is correct. Check whether there is an interference source of the same frequency near the Xiaomi Mi TV Stick, turn off all other WiFi receiving interrupts and Bluetooth, wireless network card, etc. may interfere with the appliance, and then restart the router.” Of course it doesn’t help

After that: ,,I would like to inform you that we have already guided you with all the possible troubleshooting from our end, so I would request you to please get in touch with your respective point of purchase for further assistance.

However, I will record this as your feedback and surely will share your valuable feedback with our concerned authorities so that they will work on the same in the future updates and none of our customers face any issues similar to yours."
