Model: Archer VR600  
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 0.4.0 0.9.1 v0074.0 Build 200701 Beta.71362n

I have a new Archer VR600 configured as modem and router.

All WIFI devices can connect and work properly, with expected internet speed.

But LAN connected desktop after some hours start to connect and disconnect intermittently. At same time WIFI connected devices work properly, so no internet access issue.

I noted also that at "Network Map", refreshing "Wired Clients" my desktop figures in the list and disapears, intermittently. Desktop is not in sleep mode or similar.

I followed some post related to a similar issue, and verified that my DoS protection in router is disabled.

Any idea what can be done?

Hi, thanks for posting the issue on the community.

 

Can I confirm again have you tested other computers by plugging them into one of the LAN ports? It is strongly suggested trying with different cat5e or cat6 cable, ensure the RJ45 cable from the router to the PC are both good and firmly plugged in.

 

How long does this disconnect last, and how did it recover, did you need to unplug the cable and plug it back, or just wait a few seconds then it will be normal?

 

When the internet drops on the computer, does it still obtain an IP address from the VR600 modem? What is it and how about the gateway? You may check it as below:

Hi: I can't test other computers, but changing actual VR 600 to my old WR740N it works properly with my desktop. I changed the cabel, same issue. Ensured it is plugged correctly at both sides. Disconnect / connect changes during some seconds, seems to be random. The only way to get stable connection again is to power down and up desktop, or router. My desktop is running windows 10.
