Model: Archer MR400
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.9.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 190307 Rel.45273n

I want to permanently disable 5Ghz Wifi network. When I disable it in GUI, 5Ghz is not active, but when router restarts 5Ghz wifi is again active.

How can I disable it permanently, so that even after router reset 5Ghz wifi will stay disabled?

Also parental control does not work. Even if it should be disabled for one device, this device has full accesst to the internet.

I have checked FW versions, but I already have the newest one.

Is there any way that I get this (at least Wifi) working?

@Routy

Hello, sorry for the late response.

 Do you mean the 5G issue was resolved by a reset and reconfiguration? That's good.

As for the Parental Control, may I know how do you want to use it? You may refer to the below instructions to double check the settings on the MR400:

@Kevin_Z No, I have done multiple resets also 1 week ago. Together with waiting for a few minutes before pluging the router back to the power.

After I week I said that I will try again and it just worked. I do not have a slightest idea why.

I have set parental control exactly as described in the manual, does not work even now. I might try again in a week :).

PS: I am quite disappointed with the SW side of this router. I used Linksys before and there it worked as it was set. No problems.
