Every once in a while I run into this problem. WiFi works fine 90% of the time, but sometimes you just get really flaky behavior. High pingtimes, dropping the connection, etc.

When that happens, I'm totally at a loss for how to troubleshoot it besides the "trial and error" hope and pray method of swapping hardware until you figure out the culprit. Maybe.

For some reason wifi devices have a habit of becoming "flaky" - I've never had an AP outright fail on me but I have had them slowly become useless and fail to hold a connection. Which is weird. It's not like there's something "wearing out" in a wifi AP. callandys

How do you go about troubleshooting wireless problems? Are there any specialized tools that you would typically use, software or hardware?

@riskysiso

Can I have the model number of your TP-Link device? Is it a Wi-Fi router or an Access Point? You may try to follow this guide to troubleshoot.
