This model does not automatically register the signal from my modem.  Do I use the ethnet cable to connect them to resolve the initial connection problem or what should I do to link the modem (Hitron model CGMN-2250) to this RE650 extender.  I am not technically adept so I would appreciate clear direction.

@tweibelzahl Hello,

 

There is a quick start guide at https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202011/20201130/7106509064_RE650(EU)1.0_QIG_V1.pdf and you might want to try using the WPS button on your Hitron modem and on the RE650.
